March 5 on 5: A Visit to the Domes

It's been quite some time since I last participated in the 5 on 5 Blog Circle!  As a reminder, those photographers that participate in the circle will document a story in just five images each month. Early in the month of March, we met my mom at the Mitchell Park Domes for their annual train show.  We have always enjoyed our visits to the Domes, and this trip was no exception!  Maddie and Will had fun completing the scavenger hunt in the show dome while watching the trains pass by, while my mom and I enjoyed the warmth and colors of the Domes!

I won't lie - I get just as excited as the kids do to visit The Domes!  I love taking pictures here - especially in the winter!

Maddie and Will took in the train exhibit with Grandma.

No visit to the Domes is complete without a stop in the Tropical Dome and a "wish" made at the waterfall.

We had to return to the Show Dome for one last look at the train display.

He would have stayed there all day if I had let him!

Next up in our blog circle is St. Charles, Missouri Documentary Family Photographer Melissa Kayser with her 5 on 5!

Life {Unscripted} Blog Circle: Volume 27

Gosh, it's been a while, hasn't it?  A whole lot of life has happened since my last post, which may be the reason that I haven't gotten around to updating the blog in the last 5 months!  At any rate, I'm back today to fill you in on some of our {unscripted} moments from February!

We spent much of February occupying ourselves indoors with art and science activities!  We made window tracings, visited a painting studio, created a volcano, and planted two fairy gardens!  When we did venture outdoors, we faced all types of weather!  It's hard to believe it now, but there were a few days of actual, springlike WARMTH during the month!  The kiddos wore shorts, blew bubbles, and ate popsicles!  It was glorious!  Of course, winter returned all too quickly, and we were back to snow and cold...but I have the pictures to prove that it was warm and wonderful for a few days.

Life {Unscripted} Blog Circle: Volume 26

Someway, somehow, October is drawing to a close, and it is once again time for the Life {Unscripted} blog circle!  From the looks of the photos that I'm sharing this month, we spent most of our October on one farm or another!  Believe it or not, I would like to get to a few more farms before they close for the season!  When we weren't picking pumpkins or making our way through a corn maze, we were enjoying the beauty of fall by taking walks through our own neighborhood.  We've collected leaves to create leaf rubbings and to attempt to make leaf crowns, we dropped leaves into the lake, and we've thrown, kicked, and jumped in leaves!  We discovered a "secret" path in our neighborhood and enjoyed quality time with our old pup.

Next up is the incredibly sweet and wonderfully talented Stacey of Soul Threading with some beautiful captures of her children.
