On Sunday, Jim, Maddie, Will, Bailey, and I piled into the Sante Fe, which, much like our house, seems to be much smaller these days, and made the three and half hour drive to Door County. After spending the day with Meme, Papa, and Great Grandma Joan at the campground that they call their summer home, we got into the car and made the return trip home (We're just not ready for our first overnight!)!
It was our first "real" road trip with the babies, and in spite of a few pit stops to refuel both the car and the babies, the drive there and back was a success! Jim and I were happy to have had the chance to scope out his parents' shiny new camper and to share the day with the family, the babies were happy to bask in the loving attention of their grandparents, and Bailey...? He just might have been the happiest of all to escape the confines of his crate to join us for a car ride, time spent outdoors, and a walk! We imagine that he felt as though it was his birthday...minus the cake, ice cream, and presents!

| Steve and Deb recently upgraded to this shiny new camper. It's beautiful! |
| Will and Great Grandma Joan clearly called each other to plan to wear coordinating outfits. |
| It didn't take Bailey long to make himself right at home, finding the perfect perch on top of a sofa from which to look outside. |
| Maddie was enamoured with the ceiling fan. This is exactly the look on her face when she watches TV. |
| Jim and Will chillaxing in the great outdoors. |
| Our little family (minus Bailey) |
| Meme and Maddie |
| Enjoying an outdoor storytime! |
| Me and my boy (and some really fat sausage arms...I chopped off half of my arm just to spare you.) |
| With Bailey in the lead, we took the short walk from Steve and Deb's camper to Joan's cabin. |
| Follow that dog! |

| "All this activity wipes me out!" |
| The babies quickly fell asleep on the walk. |
| Don't be fooled, though...it was just a short cat nap. |
| The babies were plumb tuckered out by the time we packed up to leave! |
