As wonderful as the holidays are, it has been nice to return to familiar routines in the last two weeks. The twins were sad to see the Christmas tree go when I packed it away this past weekend, but it seems that they are slowly coming to terms with the fact that Christmas is over...until December!

Christmas Memories
Although the twins continue to sing their favorite Christmas songs and wear elf and Santa hats around the house, Christmas has come and gone, leaving us with happy memories of baking cookies, opening presents, and, yes, singing "Frosty the Snowman" about 1,268 times. Once again, we didn't make it to meet Santa Claus, but we otherwise crammed as much as we could into the holiday season - shopping, baking, crafting, Christmas movies and books, family gatherings, and decorating. Maddie and Will were excited for it all, for it was for the first time this Christmas that they could wrap their little heads around the holiday and the hoopla that comes with it. I even got the sense that they were a bit disappointed that the merry-making and gift-giving would not continue after Christmas and into the new year!
