On Monday night, my sister and I drew up plans to get together for lunch on Tuesday before taking Dakota to a splash pad to play. The sun was shining on my ride to my sister's house, but storm clouds rolled in while we were eating lunch. When raindrops started to fall, Dakota began to cry, knowing that we wouldn't be able to go to the splash pad in the rain. We told her that the storm might pass quickly, and headed into Target to bide some time. Sue and I both picked up a few items that we needed anyways and then left Target to walk into SUNSHINE! We drove straight to the splash pad, where Dakota had a blast playing and splashing in the water. She played on the nearby playground equipment for a little while before we lured her back to the car with the promise of a treat when we got to her house (It seems that dogs AND kids will do anything for treats!). As we were driving back, the sky grew darker and darker. When we arrived back at the house, we had just gotten out of the car when the winds suddenly picked up and the rain began to pour down on us. We ran into the house, leaving our bags in the car, making it inside just in time.
It seems that time was on our side on Tuesday. We were able to proceed with our plans as we had intended in spite of the weather. I guess all of our fun was meant to be!

You forgot to tell about the GIANT branch that fell in the driveway and almost hit you...even more good timing!
