Quick Getaway

Last weekend, Jim and I piled Bailey and a few bags into the car and headed to Grandma Joan's Door County retreat for a quick overnight stay.  By the time we arrived on Friday night, we had just enough time to catch a late meal at a local restaurant before turning in for the night.  We awoke to sunshine, cool temperatures, and mountainous piles of leaves that had accumulated over the last few weeks.  We spent Saturday morning enjoying a delicious breakfast at the nearby Rusty Tractor and relaxing outside in the sun and leaves.  Bailey posed for the obligatory pictures, and Jim had fun throwing leaves at the dog (Bailey, on the other hand, did not care for the leaves tossed in his face.).

After helping Deb and Steve to pack up their camper for the winter months ahead, we enjoyed delicious appetizers and pizza from one of our favorite Door County stops, Wild Tomato (No visit to Door County is complete without a trip there!).  We headed home to rest up before the devastating Game 6 of the NLCS on Sunday night.
