Today, Jim celebrated his first Father's Day as a daddy. We marked the occasion with a trip to Grafton (It is now truly a TRIP complete with enough packed bags to make it appear as though we are spending several nights there.) for a cookout with Meme, Papa, Great Grandma, Kristen, Chris, Connor, and Emma. Of course, the twins behaved like little angels during our stay and promptly screamed bloody murder once we returned home. It's just as well - Meme and Papa wouldn't be apt to offer to babysit the twins if they behaved badly, right? While Maddie and Will were sleeping under the watchful eyes of others, Jim and I admittedly took advantage of the opportunity to eat a lot and relax a bit!
Before we left the house this morning, Maddie and Will presented their daddy with the gift that they pulled together with just a *little* help from mommy and her camera - a framed picture of their precious faces that he can take to work.
