Earlier today, Jim and I took Maddie and Will into the backyard for their first experience with snow. Our "adventure" lasted all of 15 minutes - just enough time for us to take a lap around our house and to get some priceless shots of the twins in the snow. Their reactions to the experience were fairly close to what we had anticipated - Maddie, as one who takes some time to warm up to new people, foods, and experiences, didn't seem to care for our snowy trip into the backyard. It certainly didn't help that she took a nose dive into the snow shortly after we put her on the ground. Will, who takes considerably less time to adjust to and enjoy new people, foods, and experiences, seemed to like his brief encounter with the snow.
Maddie and Will have been obsessed with standing at one of our living room windows and watching the snow fall over the last few weeks. Renee even reported that, at times, they would much rather do that than play with toys. After today's outing, Maddie may prefer to limit her snow experiences to watching it from inside the house!

| Initially, it seemed as though Maddie would enjoy sitting in the snow. The tears didn't start flowing until she gave herself a face wash when she attempted to crawl across the snow. |

| "How is he enjoying this?!?" |
| "My brother and I are SO different." |

| Our little snow buddy |
| He likes it! He really likes it! |
| It's a good thing that Daddy was there to comfort his girl! |
| "I HATE THIS! I WANT TO GO INSIDE! WHY ARE WE OUT HERE?!?" |
| "This is AWESOME!" |
The snow and cold didn't seem to bother Will at all! |
| By the time we headed inside, Will was COVERED in snow! |
