While the twins are "napping" (Maddie is sleeping, but Will is not), I thought that I'd sit down to post the pictures taken during the twenty-eighth week of 2013 before any more time slipped by! Week 28 brought its fair share of excitement and activity; during the week, we paid a visit to The Big Backyard, Maddie started walking "for real",we checked out the new splash pad in Hartland, and we took a trip down to the lakefront to honor the memory of Baby Grace as we participated in the Hope Walk.

190/365: A Cozy Ride
With rain in the forecast on Tuesday, we headed to The Big Backyard in New Berlin to meet friends and burn off some steam there for a while. Maddie and Will were immediately attracted to the handful of Cozy Coupe cars that were scattered around the indoor playground. They were cooperating when this picture was taken, but they spent most of their time fighting with each other over who could "drive" the car until I could find another available vehicle. Maddie is still just a little too small for the car (she kept slipping through the hole in the bottom), but that didn't stop her from attempting to sit in and steer a car. |

191/365: On the Windowsill
On Wednesday, Maddie climbed up on the windowsill and behind the curtain to look outside. I'm sure that Will would struggle to find enough room on such a small perch for his body, but Maddie is such a little peanut that it was the perfect spot for her! |

192/365: You Grow Girl!
Maddie had been making attempts at walking for weeks prior, but on July 11th, she crossed the living room! Two weeks later, and she rarely resorts to crawling. She is not nearly as fast as Will is, but that's just fine...she falls less often! |

193/365: Big Water Play Smiles
We're definitely putting our water table to use this summer! On Friday afternoon, we headed outside to cool off with a little water play in both the water table and the splash pool! |

194/365: Wrapped Around Daddy's Finger
On Saturday, we once again participated in the Walk for Hope to honor the memory of Grace, daughter to friends Cheryl and Tony. After riding in the stroller for the walk, the twins were itching to get out and stretch their legs! Maddie, who had been having some difficulty keeping her balance on the grass, walked hand around finger with her daddy...and couldn't have been any happier! |

195/365: Lots of Love to Give
Will was already holding a Glo-Worm on Sunday evening when he scooped up a baby in his arms as well. He wrapped them both in a big hug before throwing them to the floor and moving on to play with other toys. |

196/365: Online Storytime
We make an effort to keep the television off these days, but occasionally, I will allow Maddie and Will to watch the online stories found here while they eat lunch or dinner. Their favorite story to listen to is The Very Hungry Caterpillar as read by author Eric Carle. Thank you, Eric Carle, for giving me three minutes of peace! |
