Throwback Thursday

Last Wednesday marked 15 months since Maddie and Will were born.  Fifteen months!  I hope to be back with an update on their growth and development after their check-up tomorrow morning.

Maddie and Will spent their first few months without visible acknowledgement of the other.  Of course, they did spend most of their first few months sleeping; even when we tried to encourage play, one or both of them would fall asleep in the middle of the play mat!  It wasn't until they were between four and five months old that they seemed to notice each other.  Now, at 15 months old, Maddie and Will sure do notice each other - they give each other kisses and hugs, scream at one another, pull each other's hair, laugh together, dance together, retrieve toys and sippy cups for one another, wrestle together, and pile on Mama and Daddy together.  They've come a long way from staring at and reaching out for one another as they did in this video, which was captured as they were laying on the My Breast Friend (no joke...that's what it was called!) pillow after a feeding session.

This video also documents Will's misshapen head about 2 months before he started helmet therapy.  It's amazing to see just how much difference that stinky little helmet made!
