Birthday Boys

The two most important men in my life both celebrated birthdays this weekend. Saturday marked Bailey's sixth (!) birthday, while Jim celebrated his birthday on Sunday. We spent the weekend celebrating both occasions with food, friends, and fun.

On Saturday, we spoiled Bailey with presents, cake, and ice cream. After opening his many gifts (That pup sure does know how to rip open a package!), Bailey played with some of his new toys and humored me by posing for a few pictures. And then came the moment that he had waited months for - eating his birthday cake. Once again, we ordered a miniature birthday cake from Petlicious Dog Bakery to bring home to Bailey, and once again, Bailey went crazy for the cake. He jumped and cried as we cut it and put it in his dog bowl! He quickly devoured it and began looking for more.

After celebrating Bailey's birthday, Jim and I left the birthday pooch at home so that we could head out on the town to celebrate Jim's birthday. We joined the drunks on Water Street to dine at Rudy's before walking over to Turner Hall for the Kramp and Adler Comedy Festival. We were entertained by three very funny comedians for the remainder of the evening.

Today, we enjoyed lunch at Fuddrucker's (I hadn't been there since I was little!) and a lazy afternoon. This evening, Jim couldn't have found a better way to cap off his birthday weekend than by grilling brats for dinner.

Happy birthday to my boys! I hope that you enjoyed your weekend!

Did Jim do anything else fun during his birthday weekend?
