Any of you who have spent any length of time with Maddie and Will these days know that they are constantly on the move (Will more than Maddie), and rather dislike being restrained in their car seats or stroller. It's difficult to keep them in one place for very long.
At one time, though, all we had to do to confine the twins to one room was to plop them in the Exersaucer and the Jumperoo. They spent a lot of time bouncing and playing in those pieces of equipment, which have long since been removed from the living room. And when Will or Maddie tired of one of the pieces, we just made a swap for the other!
As much as I encourage the twins to explore their surroundings, I do sometimes miss the ability to keep the twins safely occupied in one room while I run upstairs with a load of laundry or empty the dishwasher! They like to either follow me to make the task at hand much more difficult OR find trouble!
Today's throwback video shows Will in the Exersaucer at about 6 1/2 months while Maddie was surely jumping in the Jumperoo nearby. He must have been feeling those first teeth that sprouted about two months later, for he was chomping on his Sophie an awful lot. He was clearly not yet in his helmet, though I believe that the horrendous casting appointment occurred just one day prior. And then there's his laugh. His adorable laugh. It makes me smile and cry all at once. My Sly Guy.
He's still my adorable baby boy, but he's a lot more active now!
