Fall Fun

Yesterday, Sue and Matt hosted a fall festival for friends and family at their home, which was decorated both outside and inside for the season. Guests enjoyed plenty of treats, which included Matt's famous chili and my mom's widely-known chip dip. The children in attendance painted pumpkins and were amazed by Grandpa Larry's magic show. Everyone had fun hiking the trails behind Sue and Matt's house while soaking up a little sun and watching out for the ghosts and goblins that lurked amongst the trees.

Dakota made for an adorable frog yesterday. Although she was initially hesitant with all of the guests inside her house, she came out of her shell during the party to have lots of fun with her family. In fact, Sue reported that by the end of the night, she was a dancin' machine!

Thanks for hosting a fun fall party, Sue and Matt!

Note that I was one of just a few adults in costume. I was dressed as a firefighter.

Jim was a little nervous to continue on the hike once he passed under this bat.

Dakota navigated the trails with help from her Grandma Judy and Grandma Carol.

Dakota tries this pitchfork on for size. Maybe she'll dress as a little devil next year?

What a beautiful fall day!
