With two recipes featured as "Good Eats", it's a two-for-one special here at Good Times today! Both recipes are perfect for the fall season, and both are "easy schmeezy" to follow!
Following an annual tradition in my classroom, the kindergarten students helped to make applesauce on Friday. Once again, my class teamed up with their third-grade buddies from Veronica's class to help put the sauce together. Each child took a turn to peel, core, and slice an apple using Pampered Chef's nifty Apple Peeler/Corer/Slicer. After all of the apples were cut, the children helped to add the cinnamon, sugar, and water. We let our applesauce cook for about 3 hours before we reconvened to give it a try. Most children seemed to like it, but there are always those few that won't even taste it. They don't know what they missed out on! It was delicious! I was able to take home some of the leftovers to enjoy while I put my feet up and relaxed after a long and busy day.
