One year ago today, our lives were doubly blessed by two small miracles - first, by Little Miss Maddie, our strong, smart, and silly Daddy's Girl; then, a minute later, by Big Will, our tough but sensitive, flirtatious, and goofy Mama's Boy. Today we are celebrating their (and in some ways, OUR) first birthday - Jim and I took the day off to spend it with the two little peas in a pod who have stolen our hearts and brought such joy and laughter to our lives.
On Sunday, our families joined us in celebrating their birthday with a brunch and a "Llama Llama Red Pajama" party complete with two little "llamas" in their red pajamas! We had such fun watching as Maddie and Will enjoyed the party that we threw for them, and we KNOW that they had fun playing with and hamming it up for their guests, opening presents, waving tissue paper around in the air, and devouring their birthday pancakes!
It was a lot of work to put the party together (but lots of fun, too...I'm a nerd like that); I probably slept a total of 3 hours the night before. Yet it was all worth it to see the huge smiles on the twins' faces during the party!
