Sneak Peek

For a while, it seemed as if our one year photo shoot with Amy McManigal of McManigal Photography, just wasn't meant to be.  Pictures were originally scheduled to be taken in Amy's studio BEFORE the twins' first birthday, but because of illnesses and an allergic reaction, we had to reschedule them three times!  The twins were finally healthy enough for pictures this past weekend!  They weren't necessarily cooperative, but I think that Amy was able to get a few keepers...like this one - shot during their "cake smash":

Will, who had been fussy up until the giant cupcake made an appearance, seemed to know just what to do and dived right into the cake.  He was quickly covered in frosting.  Maddie, who had been fairly cooperative up until that point, did not jump in as readily as Will.  She crawled through the frosting several times on her way out of the scene before getting a taste of the sweet frosting and deciding that it was worth sticking around for.  By the time Amy got the shots that she wanted, both Maddie and Will were covered from head to toe - and in all the crevices in between - with cake.  It was a good thing that we packed a lot of wipes!

I have yet to receive the link to the other pictures taken on Sunday, but if there are just one or two other pictures that are as cute as this one, I would say that the session was worth the wait.
