Brewers vs. Reds: Game 1

After checking into our hotel room upon arriving in Covington, we made the first of many walks over the Ohio River and to Great American Ball Park. Lines were long outside the park, as fans waited to receive a free T-shirt at the gates. Once inside the stadium, we found our seats and watched batting practice. The boys situated themselves in the outfield bleachers to attempt to catch home run balls (Mike was able to chase one down!), and Chris and I took pictures of the players and the stadium. We grabbed some grub and beverages, and settled in to watch the game.

The game, first in a four-game series, proved to be a victory for the Brewers! We chose the right games to attend during our trip to Cincinnati: the Brewers took both Thursday night's and Saturday night's games from the Reds. We happened to be there for both of the wins! We would like to think that it was our presence that made the difference for the Crew. Chris and Mike both held up homemade signs supporting the Brewers, and we cheered as loudly as we could for the team. They must have missed us on Friday and Sunday, when they were defeated by the Reds.
