Jim and I joined Matt and Kerri in attending the Badger basketball game at the Kohl Center in Madison on Saturday. Arriving in Madtown with a few hours to spare, we were able to go the Nitty Gritty for lunch before the game.

From the Gritty, we headed to State Street to peruse the strange findings at Urban Outfitters, and then to Starbucks for the hot chocolate that I am currently addicted to (Starbucks Signature Hazelnut Hot Chocolate). Then, it was game time! My favorite part of going to any college or professional basketball game is the opening introductions when the lights are turned low. It pumps me up!

At halftime, the Badgers led the Penn State Nittany Lions by 8 points. The halftime entertainment was provided by a hypnotist that duped the participants that came out onto the floor into playing imaginary musical instruments and into acting like lottery winners. Prior to the game, Jim and I had been approached by a Kohl Center representative asking if we would be interested in participating in the hypnotist's act. We politely declined, and we are glad we did so!

During the second half of the game, the Badgers lost their lead over the Nittany Lions and with a little under 5 minutes left in the game, the score was tied.

With perserverance and the leadership of Bo Ryan, the Badgers eventually pulled off the 65-61 win against the Nittany Lions. Go Badgers!
