As is tradition, we celebrated Christmas Eve with my family. We hosted this year, which allowed us to forego any of the complications of traveling with twins (They come with a lot of STUFF!), and to put the babies to bed in their own cribs shortly after they "opened" their gifts, posed for some pictures, and participated in some of the festivities. Both Maddie and Will relished the attention of their grandma, aunt, uncles, and cousin. Maddie, especially, enjoyed playing with, watching, and laughing at her cousin Dakota, while Will was more fascinated by his Uncle Bobby and his facial hair. When it came time to open gifts, Maddie showed more interest in the brightly colored packages than Will, as she pounded on the boxes with her hands and violently shook {and tried to eat} tissue paper.
After Maddie and Will were nestled all snug in their beds, we resumed our festivities with more presents, pictures, food, and fun!
The twins will {most likely} not remember their first Christmas Eve, but we will remember and treasure it always!

Maddie was actually caressing her brother's helmet when this picture was taken, but it looks as though she has her arm around his shoulder!

| When I looked closely at this picture, I *thought* I saw teeth in Will's mouth, but wrote it off as saliva. As it turns out, I DID see teeth! I noticed two teeth poking through the gums in both Will's and Maddie's mouth! |
