Two weeks ago today, Jim and I ventured outside of Boston via the "T" for a visit to the Harvard University campus. We hopped off the train in the middle of Harvard Square and headed toward a nearby coffee house before strolling around the campus. We toured the campus on our own for a short while, and then joined an official "Hahvahd" (That's really it's name!) tour group to learn more about the history of the campus and the famous alumnae who lived and studied there.
After a morning spent on the campus, Jim and I had hoped we would feel just a little smarter upon leaving, but alas, learning by osmosis simply didn't work. We drowned our sorrows about our stupidity with delicious burgers and refreshing lime rickeys (seltzer with freshly squeezed lime juice) at Mr. Bartley's Burgers, located next to the Harvard Book Store.

| We heard from our tour guide that students also have been known to urinate all over the foot of John Harvard - the very foot that we rubbed for good luck. We figured that a little luck was worth a few urine germs. |
