Play Date

This morning, Dakota and her mom invited me over to their house for a play date! I had been meaning to get together with my favorite little niece for some time now. I hadn't seen her for a month! With nothing on the docket today other than organizing the basement (and I was just looking for an excuse to get out of that!), I thought I'd drive out to spend some QT with Miss Dakota.

Dakota's life has undergone some radical changes in the last few months. She is now sleeping in her very own "big girl bed", she has made attempts to use the potty, she eats like a champ, and she is growing and learning every day! Since I last saw Dakota in July, she has sprouted more hair, become taller, and has grown more talkative!

We had lots of fun together today. We played with blocks, made a tent, played with the laundry basket (Who knew you could have so much fun with a laundry basket?), played hide-and-seek, ate lunch, read books, played with stuffed animals, and had a fashion show!

Thanks for the play date, Dakota! I can't wait to do it again!
