Last night, Jim and I attended the 2009 Big Taste held at Milwaukee Art Museum. I had seen the event advertised on facebook last week, and thought that we'd check it out. For an admission fee of $35, guests could sample unlimited amounts of food from area restaurants and watch the Big Bang fireworks display from the balcony.
While we enjoyed ourselves, Jim and I probably won't return for next year's Big Taste. We felt that we didn't get enough bang for our buck. Our biggest frustration was that we could not find any chairs upon which to sit (Tables and chairs had been reserved for those who purchased entire tables for the evening). We wound up sitting on the steps of the art museum for the fireworks display.
We did enjoy last night's beautiful weather (it was gorgeous along the lake), and the fireworks show. If only they had provided us with chairs...

Jim and I had fun watching the people heading to Summerfest or to watch the fireworks.

This was my first visit to the art museum since its new addition was added.
We noticed several people waiting to watch the fireworks from the windows of the US Bank building.
As the skies darkened, Jim began to ask when the fireworks would begin. He continued to ask the same question every five minutes until the show finally started.
