As usual, the peacocks were a plenty at the Milwaukee County Zoo on Tuesday. They were everywhere, but were in particular abundance near cafes and picnic tables. As we walked along, one peacock dove down from a tree to the sidewalk below, nearly crashing into an unsuspecting visitor. We caught sight of the pretty (Should I say handsome?) peacock shown below in another animal's exhibit area. He was showing off his colorful feathers for everyone that would stop to admire him.
On our way out of the zoo, we passed the flashy flamingos, who were catching an early afternoon snooze. One of my favorite pictures taken at the zoo this year is of two of my students standing in front of the flamingos, both boys posing like flamingos (Standing on one leg).
